About the event

The Twin County Humane Society (TCHS), serving Galax City, Grayson and Carroll Counties in Virginia has increased its lifesaving by 300% in 4 years. From providing 266 TNR surgeries in 2020 to 834 in 2023, building a foster and rescue program, developing assistance programs for owned animals in the community (spay and neuter, medical assistance, low cost vaccinations and microchips, food and housing assistance, etc.), and successfully diverting over 600 animals from entering their local shelter in 2023 alone, this group will share how it achieves this success in a small rural community with limited resources.
